AVELLINO
THE LEGACY

the AVELLINO piece is not one form, but a language of form. sometimes the body rises on a long stem, sometimes the lip flares outward, sometimes it stays close and contained. no two are ever the same.
the name goes back to avellino, the town in southern italy where mauro staltari’s family roots lie.
the pieces carry that connection: grounded, archaic,
and proud, yet interpreted through a contemporary
hand.
each work is hand-built and glazed individually,
becoming a singular variation within the AVELLINO
family. every piece finds its own shape, its own skin, its own presence.
GRANADA
THE POWER

the GRANADA piece is defined by strength and
rhythm. its stepped profile carries an architectural
presence that recalls the alhambra — when laid on
its side, the form suggests the fortress walls that
dominate the city.
granada is a city of power: monumental, layered,
and proud. The pieces echo that spirit, translating it
into clay.
each work is thrown and glazed individually, resulting in unique variations within the granada family. more than vessels, they are sculptural presences — built with rhythm, carrying weight, and made to endure.
AJO
THE UNION

the AJO pieces are small yet commanding. one bowl placed upright, the other inverted on top — together they form a new whole.
at the center of each lies a red circle, the mark of
studio staltari. it is both sign and functional: garlic rubbed across it, oil poured in, salt scattered. the gesture recalls a family table in calabria, where olive oil was never hidden in bottles but always present.
for mauro staltari, AJO is about giving that presence a vessel. it turns a mediterranean staple into something to gather around.
ROMA
THE POWER

the ROMA piece carries a form that feels timeless, as if it had always existed. its profile recalls the balance of roman columns and amphorae — grounded, rising, crowned with quiet authority.
named after the eternal city, ROMA pays tribute to a place where power and beauty have coexisted for millennia. the shape is not a replica of antiquity but a contemporary echo of it: simple, enduring, monumental.
each vase is hand-thrown and glazed individually,
turning into a singular expression within the ROMA family.
